Sept 07 update
Hi, Well it was a year ago on Sept 8th that our new journey started. I would have never believed I would feel the way I do today. In the back of our minds, we didn't know what to expect. Looking back now it has been the biggest blessing in our lives. We have enjoyed so much, and so many. This is the best way to explain it. In Alaska we went white water rafting. When we got to the banks of the river and we were told before we got into the raft, we had to swim against the current in 36 degree water. None of us were sure we could or even wanted to. But our journey had brought us to that river and no turning back. So one by one the 4 of us walked into the river and swam to the raft about 1/2 a block away. Once we climbed into the raft, our hearts were beating fast, what were we in for. At first we just drifted down the river the ride was easy, then we see the rapids ahead. I want out, not sure if I can get through them. The first one comes, we are paddling with all we have and listening to our guide. We hit the 1st rapid, it was intense but once through it a feeling of accomplishment and gratefulness. We rest awhile and the next rapid is in front of us. We feel great, we can do this, bring it on. This time I fall out, it's slow motion yet it is all happening so fast. Our guide grabs me and pulls me back into the raft, I am safe again and ready for the next rapid.
All of our lives have rapids we need to go through for one reason or another. I have learned that its the rapids that make us stronger, happier, more grateful, and ready for the next ride. What a year, what a ride. .
God bless all of your journey's has he has blessed us.
Love always Sue

A special thanks to brother-in-law Todd for assisting us in adding the pictures. That is Sue in the right rear before she was thrown out. She was quickly retrieved and wet but smiling (of course). Ed
Wow! Thanks for sharing Sue!
Have you started your book yet?
