July update
Hi to all! I truly hope everyone is enjoying this perfect weather. I sure have, and I am amazed at how blue the sky has been. Look and enjoy.
Well as of last Wednesday I am finally done with treatments, both the pill form and the IV. The doctors sure know when is enough. It's getting hard for them to draw blood, my mouth sores are getting unbearable, the rash is coming back, and I sleep a lot. So my body needs a rest. That is so bitter sweet. Treatment have become my security blanket. I knew every week I had medicine going to combat with my cancer. Now it's in God's hands (always has been) but I felt like I was doing something. I will truly miss the wonderful people I have meet in the "cancer world" their strength and sense of humor is remarkable. I have said several times, it is on the 10th floor of the Gonda building that I feel most comfortable when I'm out. I am not "special" there I am one of them. To all who have, who are, and who will fight cancer you become family.
I turned 49 on June 30th, WOW what a wonderful birthday. Holly, Drew, Steve and Ed, surprised me with a party. I was clueless (what's new). I can not begin to explain how special it was to share the day with family and friends. Again my cup overflows, If I never see another birthday, it was the best. I always took another birthday for granted, never again! 50 will be something I will look forward to. Thanks to all of you for the long drives, calls, cards, gifts, flowers, lottery tickets and well wishes. You all know who you are and your VERY special to me. Also to the neighbor kids who decorated our driveway , you rock! I pray you all know how very much you mean to me.
The next time I see the doctor will be the end of August for MRI and bloods, unless I have any signs of a recurrence. Remember everyday to live, laugh and love, life is awesome.
God bless
Love always,
Sue
